PRECITE® Hydrolysis

Polyesters are susceptible to hydrolytic degradation in humid environments. Especially at temperatures above 60 °C, moisture can lead to the breakdown of polymer chains, significantly reducing mechanical properties. This presents a major challenge for components that are continuously exposed to high humidity and elevated temperatures. With AKRO-PLASTIC’s hydrolysis-stabilized polyester compounds, you can rely on long-term performance. Specifically developed for use under high humidity and thermal stress, these materials stand out for their long-term stability, reliability, and consistent mechanical properties—even under extreme conditions. The compounds are free from GMA (glycidyl methacrylate) and therefore comply with the latest regulatory requirements.

PRECITE® K GF 30 4 LA ECO schwarz (8699)

PRECITE® K GF 30 4 ECO black (8699) is a 30% glass fiber-reinforced, hydrolysis-stabilized PBT/rPET blend. It contains 25% post-consumer PET, making it a more sustainable alternative to conventional hydrolysis-stabilized PBT compounds. Thanks to the recycled content, the carbon footprint can be reduced from 4.4 kg CO₂eq/kg (P3 GF 30) to 3.2 kg CO₂eq/kg (K GF 30 ECO).
