AKRO-PLASTIC’s history stretches back some 30 years. In this time, we have accrued a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of plastic compounding. We have been operating under our own brand name within the Feddersen Group since 2004. Since then, we have experienced constant growth. We produce over 165,000 tonnes of plastic compounds annually in our production sites in Germany, China and Brazil, and we work within an international network that can offer services ranging from development to logistics.
In response to rapidly changing market requirements, we use globally Standardised Compounding and Extrusion Technology (ICX®), which we developed with our sister company FEDDEM. With the construction of a new production facility in 2002, a new addition to our warehouse and administration building in 2011 and expanded production capabilities from 2012, AKRO-PLASTIC is keeping pace with the world’s steadily increasing demand and growing requirements for plastic compounding.

AKRO-PLASTIC is focused on developing plastic compounds with extreme good mechanical properties. Our unique compounding technology enables us to produce polymer solutions with best-in-class reproducibility, enabling you to create systems with extra tight tolerances. As an engineering plastics manufacturer, we offer flexible and individual services that are always up to date. Individuality is one of our greatest strengths. We offer a broad range of both standardised and specialised compounds as well as comprehensive knowledge about application-oriented polymer solutions.
Whatever the solution or worldwide location, we pride ourselves on our batch consistency. To achieve this, we have invested heavily in quality and ensure consistent procurement parameters across all our raw materials as well as frequent control. Our customers are multinational companies as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. But they all have high requirements. Therefore, we do more than just produce simple plastics. We are a service company constantly developing our own products and setting standards with both our Certified Quality Management and our test lab.
AKRO-PLASTIC is a member of the Feddersen Group, which is globally positioned within a broad range of industries and has some 1,100 employees around the world. AKRO-PLASTIC itself has two branches:

AF-COLOR produces color, black, additive and biodegradable masterbatches according to customer specifications. Customer advantage: The bundled color knowledge of the experienced team in association with AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH, expert for plastic compounds.
Production & Development, Distribution & Consulting
BIO-FED develops at the BioCampus Cologne. AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH produces at the plant in Niederzissen. A match made in heaven for bioplastics.

Our quality certifications are part of our AKRO-Excellence integrated management system, a legally binding commitment to excellence established in 2008.
