For demanding axle wiring in vehicles, AKRO-PLASTIC, in collaboration with MD Elektronik, has developed a connector component that delivers maximum reliability even under extreme environmental conditions. The foundation is our AKROMID® B3 GF 20 1 black (2483), which ensures an outstanding combination of stability, weather resistance, and durability. This enables the creation of data connectors that function reliably over the long term, even in exterior areas and under heavy contamination.

As part of this project with MD Elektronik, our product AKROMID® B3 GF 20 1 black (2483) is used exclusively for the overmolding of axle wiring components. The robust data connectors serve as the interface to safety-critical vehicle systems such as speed sensors, parking brakes, and brake wear indicators. Thanks to its high strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to temperature and environmental influences, our AKROMID® meets the demanding requirements for components used in exterior and contaminated environments. This makes our material a key contributor to the reliability and long service life of these systems. The continuously growing production volumes underline the success of this project and confirm our customers’ trust in the quality and performance of AKROMID®.
