AKROMID® B28 GF 30 9 FR orange (8645)
AKROMID® B28 GF 30 9 FR orange (8645), a flame-retardant PA6 compound with 30% glass fibers, colored orange, similar to RAL 2003, was specially developed for high-voltage components (HV connectors, busbars, or housings). The flame-retardant system is based on the latest technology and is free of red phosphorus, halogens, antimony trioxide, zinc borate, and PFAS. It therefore complies with the latest regulatory requirements and offers significant processing advantages such as reduced corrosion susceptibility and reduced deposit formation.
This grade is UL listed with a UL94 V0 classification at 1.6 mm. Due to its excellent flowability, it is characterized by easy processing and good surface properties. The material possesses excellent long-term thermal stability and outstanding mechanical properties. The product is available with a glass fiber content of 25% to 35%, in natural and colored in RAL 2003 or black.
The products are also available based on biomass-balanced raw materials: AKROMID® NEXT B28 GF 30 9 FR black (8342BMBCI).

AKROMID® T91 GF 30 FR orange (8104)
Our AKROMID® T91 GF 30 FR orange (8104) is a flame-retardant, 30% glass fiber-reinforced polyamide 9T with high stiffness and strength, even in the conditioned state. The product is colored similarly to RAL 2003 and is characterized by high color stability and excellent UV laser markability. Furthermore, the product has been optimized for high flowability and attractive surfaces. Due to its low water absorption, the product impresses with excellent electrical properties up to 150 °C, even in the conditioned state or after heat storage. Compared to the halogen-free flame-retardant PPAs available on the market, the product exhibits a barely measurable corrosive effect, which can significantly reduce wear in the injection molding machine. Typical applications include HV connectors.

AKROLOY® PARA GF 35 FR orange (8039)
Our AKROLOY® PARA GF 35 FR orange (8039) is characterized by very high mechanical properties over a wide temperature range, low moisture absorption, and excellent surface qualities. It is also the perfect candidate for thermal runaway requirements. With a wall thickness of 2 mm, the product can withstand exposure to a 500W flame for 10 minutes. This results in temperatures of up to 1200°C. The temperature rise on the rear side is moderate at a maximum of 115°C. Additional USPs include a UL94 V0 classification for component thicknesses of 0.4 mm and above, excellent dielectric properties, and a CTI of 600 V. The product is also available in natural or black colors. Typical applications are components inside the battery or in the immediate vicinity of the battery.

AKROTEK® PK-VM GF 30 FR orange (8537)
Our flame-retardant AKROTEK® PK-VM GF 30 FR orange (8537) offers high ductility despite its flame-retardant treatment, providing advantages such as high chemical and hydrolytic resistance, robust electrical properties, and dimensional stability. It is a process-optimized grade, giving injection molders a wider processing window and therefore greater processing flexibility. AKROTEK® PK-VM GF 30 FR meets the highest flammability requirements and is UL Listed V0 in all colors starting at 0.8 mm, including RTI listing.
The product was developed for injection molding but can also be processed using 3D printing and pellet extrusion for large-scale additive manufacturing (see video).

FLAME RETARDANT POLYESTER WITH SUPERIOR DUCTILITY
PRECITE® P3 GF 25 9 FR natural (8212)
Our PRECTITE® P3 GF 25 9 FR natural (8212) was specially developed to meet the highest demands for dimensional stability and ductility. Like all our materials, the product is free of halogens, antimony trioxide, and PFAS and complies with the latest regulatory requirements. With an elongation at break of >2.5%, it provides the high ductility often required for components while still achieving a UL94 V0 classification at 1.6 mm component thickness. The product is also available in black and as a GF 30 version.
