Start 2010 - a raving success

Already for the second time, the Feddersen Group presented its training programme at the shared booth of AGA (federation of wholesale trade, foreign trade, services e. V.). More than 38.000 visitors gathered information from 26th to 27th of February 2010 at the trade fair for professional training and studies in the exhibition halls of Hamburg.

The Feddersen Group presented all divisions of the Group as well as the job descriptions. Especially the trainees of the Group played an important role at the information desk and onstage of the shared booth. They informed interested pupils, parents and teachers about their companies, their qualified jobs, the procedure regarding off-the-job training, qualification measures but also about their own personal experiences and feelings. "If the pupils are in the position to exchange information with almost same-aged trainees, they are more and more easygoing and dared to ask even far-reaching questions", according to Claudia Gaebel, trainee - management expert in foreign trade - at K. D. Feddersen + Co. Ueberseegesellschaft mbH. "Even in front of the AGA stage, where we regularly inform about our company and report about the experiences made as a trainee, I could glance into many interested faces", according to Irina Lingert.

Christine Winnichner, trainee - industrial clerk - at AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH, a company belonging to the Feddersen Group arrived especially for this purpose from Niederzissen, situated in the Rhineland-Palatinate. She adds: "It was a highlight to see how many sceptical faces in the first instance brightened up, as we reported about our exciting everyday work as well as the many possibilities being offered by the internationally acting Feddersen Group. I am sure that we could convince many pupils about the fact, that an apprenticeship being offered by Feddersen might be a good start into professional life."
