Trade fair review - AKRO-PLASTIC and AF-COLOR on the Fakuma 2009

The company AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH, specialist for innovative and application-oriented compounds  is reviewing its positive results from the 20th edition of Fakuma in Friedrichshafen. Together with its subsidiary AF-COLOR, AKRO-PLASTIC could make several interesting contacts as co-exhibitor at the stand of the sister company K. D. Feddersen GmbH & Co. KG.

 

"The reactions and the high interest of the professional visitors concerning our current main topics in the application areas metal substitution, flame protection as well as product innovations have definitely encouraged us continuing our strategy", according to Leander Bergmann, Head of Marketing at AKRO-PLASTIC. "Establishing an intersection of customer needs, market trends and new, innovative ideas is our greatest aim", Leander Bergmann adds.

The consisting product range for substitution of metal die-casting is thus more and more perfected besides the reinforced

"As the result of evaluation of trade-fair contacts showed, the interest on raw materials on basis of renewable raw materials is even highly topical in the plastic processing area", Leander Bergmann adds.

 

The manufacturer, being focussed on development of polyamide specialities presented on the Fakuma for the first time a polyamide 6.10 on basis of renewable raw materials. The new AKROMID® S consists of about 60 % renewable raw materials. Castor oil of the seeds of the castor oil plant builds the basis for sebacic acid, acting as a basis for the renewable raw material part of the polymer.

 

It could be demonstrated to the business experts on the Fakuma, that AKRO-PLASTIC offers more than only plastic compounds. With a high service competence in the areas development of material formulations and toll compounding as well as in the in-house accredited laboratory, benchmarks shall be set in the branch.

 

Also the technically high-quality masterbatches of AF-COLOR could score at the Fakuma 2009. "Nearly every customer has special requests", Joachim Gutzeit, Head of Sales at AF-COLOR knows.
